The Spring Equinox was four days ago, and the winds are blowing as they do around the Equinox. We had some sunny warm days last week, but today the weather is stormy.
Longer evenings hold the promise of summer to come, and watering the seedlings in my glasshouse is once again a daily ritual.
I have planted early potatoes, (La Ratte) and Jerusalem Artichokes. The radishes I sowed a couple of weeks ago have sprung out of the ground, but the carrot and beetroot seeds may have found the temperature not to their liking yet.
In the glasshouse are tiny tomato seedlings, brassicas, lettuce, cucumber, onions and beans starting their journey of life. This month I will also sow heritage sweet corn and herbs.
In a world where no-one knows what normal is any more, nature reassures me that life is good.
